Fire cupping is another therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It involves placing glass or plastic cups on the skin and creating a vacuum inside them by using heat or suction. The vacuum pulls the skin and underlying tissues into the cup, which is believed to stimulate blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and promote healing. The cups are typically left in place for a few minutes or moved around the skin to achieve the desired therapeutic effect. After the treatment, temporary marks or bruising may appear on the skin, but they usually fade within a few days.
